Daily Programme

The courses and activities at the St. Gilgen International School Winter Camp begin on Sunday and finish on Saturday. Students arrive in St. Gilgen on Saturday, 9th February in the evening and leave on Saturday, 16th February in the afternoon. On the first evening, students will be given leisure time to explore our campus and surroundings.

Language – English
Winter Camp participants will attend 2 hours of classes per day for a total of 10 hours of instruction of focused language tuition in English.

Learning is designed and delivered at each student’s particular level, and within a fun and active classroom environment. Learning a new language will open a window into intercultural understanding and help develop critical thinking skills. Students will also have the opportunity to apply their learned language to real-world situations – a truly fun way to explore language learning and Austria at the same time.

The language lessons will be delivered by highly skilled instructors, with an emphasis on communication and conversational skills. Thereby we offer English lessons from beginner (A1 and A2 level) to intermediate (B1 and B2 level). The courses will be concluded with an offical language certification.

Additional activities
Of course, Winter Camp is about more than academics. Students are encouraged to sample a range of activities in the beautiful surroundings of the Salzkammergut region.

Skiing or Snowboarding
Students of all levels will be taught by or professional instructors and will have the opportunity explore the beautiful Dachstein West ski region.
