The DARE Adventure Race 2016

Team Awesomeness win ‘The Dare’ 2016

Congratulations to all students and staff that participated in ‘The DARE’ adventure race on the weekend! It was a challenging 21km course for the senior teams and 14km course for the junior teams. This included trail running, mountain biking, cliff jumping, mental challenges, navigation, kayaking and more!

Toward the end of the day, it became a race against the weather as the storms were chasing the teams home and providing some rough conditions. After navigating the course, the challenges, and some surprises along the way, the teams needed to cross the Wolfgangsee to finish. High winds and impending rain kept the rescue boats on high alert as our students pushed forward to cross the finish line in one of the toughest school events in the world.

It was a tremendous effort made by all competitors and great to see the spirit of adventure and challenge is alive and well in our community. We are pleased to announce ‘Fourth Harmony’ the winners of the junior race and ‘Team Awesomeness’ the winner of the senior race.

Planning for ‘The DARE’ 2017 is already underway, and according to some early reports from our students, so is the training.Â
